Veno Leigertwood

Veno Leigertwood (2001 graduate) was shot to death outside his home in Yeadon, Pa on September 13, 2008.

Leigertwood worked for the Philadelphia School District and the federally funded “Gear Up” program, which helps low–income students with academics and college enrollment. Leigertwood, also a real estate investor, was a community role model who was scheduled to receive his MBA two months after his death.

The motive and identity of his killers is still unknown. The case was featured on the TV show “America’s Most Wanted” in 2009.
